Hello Knowledge Seekers!
Welcome to the Simple Money Lessons blog. I am The Unfussy Scholar, the author of this blog.
I have a simple goal with this blog and that is to teach basic personal finance in a simplified and entertaining, but still informative manner.
I know personal finance can be a confusing and boring topic for many, which is why I want to simplify the information and make it more interesting to learn.
But why would you want to listen to me?
Good question.
In terms of credentials, I used to be a financial advisor for one of the leading insurance companies in the Philippines. I admit I was never good at selling insurance, but I was good at teaching people personal finance.
I always believed that providing the necessary financial knowledge and information is more important than trying to push them to buy insurance.
Hence, I'm no longer a financial advisor. :-( But that is okay!
Aside from being a former financial advisor, I've also worked in an investment bank for several years. During my time there, I tried to learn as much as I could about the stock market.
I also gained a bit of insight into bonds, how companies generate capital, as well as how these things affect the movement of the market. It was a great learning experience and I'm trying to share some of that in this blog.
Lastly, I also do a lot of self-study. I read books and articles about money, business, investing, the stock market, and so on.
I've even attended seminars, conferences, and workshops that further increased my knowledge about various personal finance topics.
I don't claim to be an expert when it comes to money and personal finance. I'm just a scholar who knows certain things, but I still have a lot more to learn.
I continuously expand my knowledge and share the new things that I've learned in this blog.
I hope you guys find value in everything that I share here. And please don't hesitate to provide comments or feedback.
They help in improving the Simple Money Lessons blog.
Happy Learning!
The Unfussy Scholar
